An approach to nasal tip remodeling.
The luxation (cartilage delivery) technique may be used to achieve a predictable, individualized result in nasal tip rhinoplasty. The author describes how this technique, using a bipedicle flap with an intercartilaginous and rim incision, allows superior visualization of the domal region without structural disruption of the cartilaginous arch. (Aesthetic Surg J 2001;21:345-348.).
متن کاملExamining Concrete Cores by Non-destructive Techniques
Computed Tomography (CT) scanning has served as an important non-destructive research tool by providing twoand three-dimensional images particularly in medicine, biology and materials science. An example of its application in the area of materials is reported. Experimental study was carried out to investigate the effect of location within column element on the strength and porosity characterist...
متن کامل“Suture” techniques in nasal tip reconstruction
Ever since Sushruta laid the foundations of rhinoplasty for the first time in ancient India, a lot of thought and effort has gone into developing the techniques that we know today. Tip plasty is an essential and indispensable part of rhinoplasty. It is important to realise that every nose is different and the attention to fine details is important and defines a good rhinoplasty surgeon. Every r...
متن کاملPorosity Study of Synthetic Sandstones by Non-Destructive Nuclear Techniques
In this paper nuclear techniques were used to describe the structural characteristics of ceramic samples. These samples were produced mainly with silica to simulate sandstones. Three sets of samples with different characteristics were analyzed using gamma ray transmission to obtain point by point porosity and X-ray microtomography to obtain the porosity, for 2D sections and the scanned bulk, as...
متن کاملTime Reversal Techniques in Non Destructive Testing
The objective of this paper is to show that time-reversal invariance can be exploited in acoustics to create a variety of new methods in non-destructive testing. Two different approaches will be discussed. The first one is the iterative time reversal process. It is an adaptive technique that can be used to detect flaws in complex samples with arrays of transducers. A second technique will also ...
